Angela Terricone from Bloodsource was in to speak to us on December 6, 2005. She was responsible for setting up the mobile unit for Ruby Tuesdays on December 20th. Bloodsource serves over 40 local hospitals. Their average is 700 pints per day. They currently have 16 local centers and conduct over 150 mobile blood drives per year.
Angela mentioned that they have a supply that will help support others around the country in case of need. American Blood Centers is a network that "cross provides" to those in need; such as natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina. For more information, please call (866)82BLOOD.
